مبادرة النوع الاجتماعي في الأونروا تنظم حفلاً ختامياً لمبادرة "حياتك بتهمنا"

في 25 مايو 2016، نظم برنامج مبادرة النوع الاجتماعي في الأونروا حفلاً ختامياً لمبادرته حول العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي "حياتك بتهمنا"، وذلك في قاعة "ضوء القمر" في مدينة غزة، وقد حضر الاحتفالية 300 شخص من أعضاء المجتمع المحلي وممثلين عن منظمات محلية.
نفذت مبادرة "حياتك بتهمنا" ستة سيدات تم اختيارهن بالتشاور مع 8 منظمات مجتمع محلي، واشتملت المبادرة على نشاطات وفعاليات مثل عرض غنائي (أوبريت) وجلسات النقاش المفتوح ونشاطات التواصل، ومن خلال هذه النشاطات، سعت السيدات المنفِذات للمبادرة إلى تعزيز منع ووقف العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي، وكذلك التركيز على موضوع الزواج المبكر، وحقوق الميراث، والتمييز في العمل والإعتداء الجنسي.
وتعتبر مبادرة "حياتك بتهمنا" واحدة من خمس مبادرات تم اختيارهن من قبل برنامج مبادرة النوع الاجتماعي في الأونروا، حيث تم دعم ما مجموعه 38 سيدة لتنفيذ مقترحاتهن في الخمسة محافظات لقطاع غزة، وقد هدفت جميع المبادرات الخمسة إلى تعزيز دور المرأة والمشاركة المجتمعية في منع العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي، وإنشاء مجموعات مناصرة بين النساء، وركزت المبادرات الخمسة على نشاطات مثل جلسات التواصل المجتمعية، وإنشاء مدونات ومجموعات للإعلام الاجتماعي، إضافة إلى تنظيم معرض فني عن العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي.

حصلت الـ38 سيدة اللاتي تم اختيارهن من أجل تنفيذ المبادرات على دعم من 30 منظمة مجتمع محلي شريكة، وأشرف فريق عمل مبادرة النوع الاجتماعي في الأونروا على التخطيط والإدارة وعملية التنفيذ، كما شاركت السيدات أيضاً في جلسات نقاش لرفع التوعية حول منع العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي، وحضرن 8 جلسات أخرى حول مواضيع مثل أنواع العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي - مسبباته وعواقبه -، حقوق النساء واتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة (CEDAW)، وقانون الأحوال الشخصية في فلسطين.
وقالت روان السويسي، إحدى المشاركات في العرض الغنائي أنه: "لدى المرأة الحق في أن تكون متعلمة مثل الرجال، فنحن متساوون"، وأضافت أيضاً: "من خلال مشاركتي في هذه المبادرة، أردت أن يكون لي الدور في تحقيق المساواة بين الرجال والنساء في مجتمعنا".
وقد نُفذت جلسات النقاش حول العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي في مناطق يزيد فيها الفقر والإهمال من تعقيد الحياة خصوصاً للنساء، ومع ذلك، دفعت جلسات النقاش النساء إلى الحديث بصوت عالٍ ورفع مشاكلهن وطلب المشورة، حيث قالت المنسقة الميدانية من مكتب غزة الإقليمي للأونروا آمال أبو ركاب: "بالفعل بعض الحالات تحدثن إلينا وطلبن المساعدة".

شاركت أسماء الزهار إحدى الخريجات التي حضرت الفعالية تجربتها التي مرت بها عندما رُفض طلبها للتوظيف من الموظِف، فقط لأنها امرأة، وقالت: "عملت متطوعة لمدة ثلاثة أشهر وكان المدير يمدح أدائي، إلا أنه عندما تقدمت لفرصة عمل في نفس المكان رفض توظيفي، لأنني امرأة، وقال أنه يفضل أن يوظف شاب لتلك الوظيفة".
من أجل دعم المشاركة المجتمعية في منع العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي، أجرت مبادرة النوع الاجتماعي في الأونروا 30 جلسة نقاس لرفع التوعية كجزء من مشروع "المساواة بالفعل" الممول من حكومة النرويج، واستهدفت هذه الجلسات 522 من أعضاء المجتمع مقسمين على النحو التالي (138 امرأة، 187 رجل، 152 شاب و 62 شابة).
وقد هدفت كل من هذه المبادرات حول العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي وجلسات التوعية إلى تعليم وتثقيف المرأة والرجل والشباب بالمهارات التي يحتاجونها لمعالجة العنف الذي مرّوا به في بيوتهم ولمنع العنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي في المجتمع أيضاً.
حول الأونروا:
تواجه الأونروا طلبا متزايدا على خدماتها بسبب زيادة عدد لاجئي فلسطين المسجلين ودرجة هشاشة الأوضاع التي يعيشونها وفقرهم المتفاقم. ويتم تمويل الأونروا بشكل كامل تقريبا من خلال التبرعات الطوعية فيما لم يقم الدعم المالي بمواكبة مستوى النمو في الاحتياجات. ونتيجة لذلك فإن الموازنة البرامجية للأونروا، والتي تعمل على دعم تقديم الخدمات الرئيسة، تعاني من عجز كبير يتوقع أن يصل في عام 2016 إلى 81 مليون دولار. أما برامج الأونروا الطارئة والمشروعات الرئيسة، والتي تعاني أيضا من عجز كبير، فيتم تمويلها عبر بوابات تمويل منفصلة.
تأسست الأونروا كوكالة تابعة للأمم المتحدة بقرار من الجمعية العامة في عام 1949، وتم تفويضها بتقديم المساعدة والحماية لحوالي خمسة ملايين لاجئ من فلسطين مسجلين لديها. وتقتضي مهمتها بتقديم المساعدة للاجئي فلسطين في الأردن وسورية ولبنان وسورية والضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة ليتمكنوا من تحقيق كامل إمكاناتهم في مجال التنمية البشرية وذلك إلى أن يتم التوصل لحل عادل ودائم لمحنتهم. وتشتمل خدمات الأونروا على التعليم والرعاية الصحية والإغاثة والخدمات الاجتماعية والبنية التحتية وتحسين المخيمات والحماية والإقراض الصغير.

On 25May 2016, the UNRWA Gender Initiative Programme (GIP) organized a closing ceremony for its Gender Based Violence(GBV) initiative "Your Life Is Important to Us" at the Moonlight Hall in Gaza city. Approximately 300 community members, including representatives from local organizations, attended the closing event.
The "Your Life Is Important to Us" initiative was implemented by six women who were selected in consultation with eight Community Based Organizations (CBOs).It included activities such as operetta, open discussions and outreach activities. Through these activities women were promoting messages to prevent and to stop GBV with a focus on early marriage, inheritance rights, work discrimination and sexual abuse.
"Your Life Is Important to Us" is one of five initiatives selected by UNRWA GIP through which a total of 38women were supported to implement their own proposals in the five governorates of the Gaza Strip. All five initiatives were aiming to promote women and community participation in preventing GBV and eventually creating advocacy groups among women. The five initiatives focused on activities like community outreach sessions, establishing blogs or social media groups, and organizing an art exhibition on GBV.

The 38 women who were selected to implement these initiatives were supported by 30 partnering CBOs and the GI team in the planning, managing and implementation process. They also participated in awareness raising discussion groups on the prevention of GBV and attended eight sessions on topics including the types of GBV, its causes and consequences, women's rights and the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), Personal Status Law in Palestine.
Rawan Al Swiesi, one of the women who participated at the operetta commented that "A woman has the right to be educated just like a man, we are equal." "Through my participation in this initiative, I wanted to have an impact and to achieve equality among men and women in our society," she added.
The discussion groups on GBV were implemented in areas where poverty and ignorance complicate life, especially for women. However, these discussion groups motivate women in these areas to speak up, raise their problems and seek advice. "Some cases talked to us and asked for help," commented Amal Abu Rekab, Gaza Area Field Coordinator.

Asma Al Zahar, one of the graduates who attended the event, shared her experience about the time when her job application was rejected by a possible employer, only because she is a woman."I worked as a volunteer for three months and the manager was always praising my performance. But when I applied for a job opportunity at the same place, he refused to hire me because I am a woman, emphasizing that he preferred to hire a young man for the position," she added.
To support community participation in GBV prevention UNRWA GI conducted30 awareness raising discussion groups as a part of the Equality in Action project funded by the Government of Norway. These sessions targeted 522 community members of which 183 were women, 187 men and 152 youth of which 90 young men and 62 young women.
Both the GBV Initiatives and the awareness sessions conducted aimed at educating women, men and youth with the skills needed to address the violence they experience in their homes as well as to prevent GBV in the community.
